What do Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) do?
Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services, and in partnership with other members of the rehabilitation team, the PTA provides professional therapy services to persons with with brain injury or other neurological conditions. Services include addressing the following person served needs:
+ cognitive
+ mobility
+ psychosocial
+ positioning
+ motor functioning
As a transdisciplinary team member, this position also assists with:
+ reviewing rehabilitation plans and making recommendations
+ providing education and support to persons served and families

+ Neuro experience is highly preferred but will consider a new graduate. CBIS, LSVT, or NDT certifications are a plus.
Qualified applicants must have:
+ Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in Iowa.
+ Ability to maintain CPR certification (training provided).
+ Ability to maintain mandatory reporter certification (training provided).
+ Must be able to obtain or currently have a valid Iowa chauffeur’s/class D3 drivers license.
