Physical Therapist
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Highlights:** + Full time position, outpatient setting. The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy. This will include the creation of treatment plans and the execution of those individual patient-based treatment programs in accordance with the State of Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978. The physical therapist will work cooperatively with other rehabilitation professionals including physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation technicians/aids, and athletic trainers in addition to the patient’s medical team to maintain standards of professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork **What a Physical Therapist will do:** + Physical Therapists will practice in accordance with the state practice act to provide physical therapy services including the evaluation, planning, and implementation of rehabilitation plans of care for patients. + Provides patient care including:o Providing treatment and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration and as required by law and regulation.o Evaluation and clinical diagnosis of patient conditions.o Establish treatment goals utilizing input from patient and their family as appropriate. + Demonstrates competence in relevant software programs necessary for the completion of your job responsibilities. + Documents patient's status and progress throughout treatment, including initial evaluation, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summary. **What a Physical Therapist will need:** + Graduate of a professional training program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. + Required: Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy + Preferred: Master’s or Doctorate’s in Physical Therapy + Required Certification and Licensure: FSBPT Certification, State of Michigan Physical Therapist License or eligible to obtain licensure prior to hire date + Preferred: 1-year professional experience + American Heart Association BLS or equivalent + Basic computer skills. + Ability to work in a team environment. + Excellent customer service skills necessary to interact with patient/physicians to maintain and promote positive relationships. + Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to portray a professional customer image. + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to problem solve effectively based on established policies and procedures **In return for your talents, we offer:** + Competitive salary, paid time off, 403B retirement savings, and health, vision, dental benefits starting on Day 1- no waiting period + Colleague Referral Program to earn cash and prizes. + Unlimited career growth opportunities with one of the largest Catholic healthcare organizations in the country + Trinity Health offers DailyPay - if you’re hired as an eligible colleague, you’ll be able to see how much you’ve made every day and transfer your money any time before payday. **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
