Pleasant Ave. Suite G100, West Orange, NJ 07052 Job Title:Physical Therapist Location:West Orange (WOR) Department Name:Physical Therapy-OP Req #:0000204246 Status:Salaried Shift:Day Salary Range: $95,680.00 - $111,924.80, Annual Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work, The Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience, Job Overview Plans and administers physical therapy programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, prevent disability following injury or disease within scope of practice, Qualifications Required Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral Degree or higher degree with a major in Physical Therapy from an accredited program NJ Physical Therapy License or eligible American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification Tact, initiative and judgment in the performance of duties Physical stamina for lifting and therapeutic handling of patients Preferred Completion of a pediatric affiliation Orthopedic experience General pediatric experience Experience with outpatient orthopedics and pediatrics Certifications and Licenses Required: NJ Physical Therapy License or eligible American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification Scheduling Requirements: Full Time Day Shift Essential Functions: Selects, administers, and interprets assessment tools as designated in competency expectations including: History, Screening, Observations, and Evaluations as appropriated to patients Identifies and prioritizes time realistic functional goals for remediation, compensation, adaptation or prevention of deficits Selects, utilizes and evaluates the effectiveness of appropriate treatment methods as designated in competency expectations Applies principles of activity analysis for grading physical, perceptual cognitive and psychosocial demands to produce an optimal mesh of childs or familys abilities to meet environmental demand Communicates effectively with patients, families, team in oral and written formats in both formal and nonformal situations As designated in competency expectations, assists in training others, This may include, Staff, PTAs, Aides, students Takes responsibility for seeking supervision or consultation in relationship to clinical performance Actively contributes to improvement plans effectively utilizes feedback Meets competency expectations in explaining symptoms, prognosis and functional limitations for a variety of diagnostic groups Makes discharge recommendations appropriate to the child & their family in consideration of child's prognosis, role expectations, and knowledge of community resources Meets minimum annual expected volumes Assigns work to and follows up for satisfactory completion of duties of physical therapy assistants, aides, orthotics technician and assists with student training Direct contact with patients, families, nursing, therapists and other health and education professionals, May also include community groups and universities Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job, Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at anytime with or without notice, RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
