Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Physical Security Project Manager. The Physical Security Project Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and integration of physical security systems across enterprise environments. The Physical Security Project Manager role ensures that all security installations including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection are executed in alignment with corporate security standards, IT infrastructure, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in project management, physical security technologies, and IT systems integration, with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-site deployments. This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant physical security solutions that protect people, assets, and operations.

Salary: $82,992.00

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of physical security projects, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systemsDevelop detailed project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned with corporate security objectivesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design scalable, standards-compliant physical security systems that align with corporate security requirementsEnsure all security installations and designs adhere to corporate physical security standards, industry best practices and applicable regulationsSupport client team as a point of contact for security integrators, contractors, and technology vendorsMaintain comprehensive project documentation including design drawings, change orders, test plans, and close-out reportsProvide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and milestonesStay current with emerging physical security technologies and evaluate their applicability to enhance corporate security postureRecommend upgrades or new solutions to improve system performance and operational efficiencyDevelop and deliver training programs for local facility teams, security stakeholders, and leadershipMaintain detailed documentation on procedures, equipment, inventory, and system configurations

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in physical security systems design, installation, and integration, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systemsMinimum of three (3) years of project management experience, preferably managing multi-site or enterprise-level security or technology projectsMinimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in managing Onguard/Lenel systems, IP camera systems, and DVRs in a corporate environmentProven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budgetExperience working with security integrators, contractors, and vendors in a lead or supervisory capacityHands-on experience with security technologies and platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Milestone, AMAG)Familiarity with IT infrastructure and networking as it relates to physical security systems (e.g., IP cameras, PoE switches, VLANs)Experience interpreting and applying corporate security standards, building codes, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in Lenel Onguard (v7.2 to v8.2) access control systemsStrong troubleshooting skills for access control and video surveillance systemsStrong leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills; able to present to and instruct othersExceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, attention to detail, be well organized, and work successfully in a fast-paced environmentProficient computer skills specifically within Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Demonstrated integrity, honesty, poise, tact, and diplomacyExcellent communication and coordination abilitiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and handle after-hours support as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Prior experience in security system managementProject management experienceCollege Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related technical fieldCertification in one or more of the following:Physical Security Professional (PSP)Certified Protection Professional (CPP)Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)Project Management Professional (PMP)Experience in enterprise or global security environments, especially in corporate, industrial, or manufacturing sectorsBackground in security risk assessments and mitigation planningExperience integrating physical security systems with identity and access management (IAM) or enterprise IT platformsFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam for reviewing or creating security system layoutsExperience working in cross-functional teams involving security, IT, facilities, legal, and compliance
