We work together to drive ambition for every future! **Overview** Oversees the Security Department and the Mailroom in Dallas office working closely with the NY Security Office to ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. **What You’ll Do** + Responsible for the operation of the security control room, security staff, and the local access control system. This includes ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operated properly, and that the security staff is properly licensed and trained. + Manage the security schedule to ensure proper staffing at all times. + Ensure that security reports are completed on time and that all operational procedures, manuals, and files remain current and reflect the Dallas office. + Liaison with local law enforcement and security managers from other financial institutions to stay abreast of current trends, upcoming events, and potential problems that may impact our employees. + Ensure that radios, keys, and equipment are up to date and current. + Responsible for the Security and Mailroom vendor relationship management. + Ensure that all invoices are submitted for payment in a timely fashion. + Responsible for the overall operations of the mailroom ensuring that it functions in an efficient and cost-effective manner. **What You’ll Bring** + At least 3 to 5 years security experience + Law enforcement experience preferred + Security Guard Certification strongly preferred + Demonstrable experience effectively collaborating with stakeholders to support achievement of strategic mission **Interested?** If your experience is closely related but doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification, we do encourage you to apply - you might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Scotiabank!
