As a Photochemical Front-End Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Material Category Leads in defining the strategy, executing plans, and driving excursion prevention programs to develop suppliers through continuous improvement programs. Your work will play a vital role in mitigating supplier Quality issues and consistently improving the overall Quality of Micron's products.
Your role extends beyond individual contributions and involves collaborative efforts with key stakeholders. You will work closely with Global Quality, Global Procurement, Operational Central Team (OCT), Operations, Facility, and Product Engineering, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared responsibility.
You will also significantly impact our supplier relationships. You will support Supplier Performance Reviews, ensure suppliers receive timely and accurate feedback based on consistent metrics, and develop a continuous improvement plan.
Role Responsibilities & Tasks:
Sourcing, Selection and Qualification Phase
Lead Photochemical quality risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to support qualification activities.Provide quality-focused input and recommendations on global sourcing and segmentation strategies, including business continuity planning, benchmarking, new market evaluations, RFQ/RFI processes, supplier selection, cost-saving initiatives, and related analytics.Conduct technical risk assessment audits for new suppliers and materials to evaluate their capability and readiness for High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).Establish, communicate, and ensure supplier compliance with Micron’s Supplier Requirements Standards (SRS).Support cross-fab technology transfers by aligning new technology Bills of Materials (BOM) and driving consistency in global specifications.HVM Phase - Supplier Development and Excursion Management
Lead the definition and alignment of global material specifications for Photochemicals, ensuring collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.Support Material Category Leads in shaping the Photochemical Category Quality Strategy, including the development of the Quality Roadmap and Defense Line Program.Implement quality programs, share lessons learned, and conduct benchmarking with suppliers to establish robust controls and preventive measures aligned with the Shift-Left Strategy.Facilitate regular Quality and Technical Review (QTR) meetings with both strategic and developing suppliers.Manage supplier and sub-supplier changes through the Supplier Change Management (SCM) process.Oversee the resolution of globally impacting Photochemical quality issues, ensuring appropriate prioritization.Collaborate with Global OCT MTE, Operations, and Facility teams to conduct deep-dive root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.Cascade lessons learned to R&D and HVM fabs to ensure closed-loop communication and global issue prevention.Define, track, and monitor monthly supplier quality performance metrics and ensure compliance with Micron’s Supplier Requirements Standards (SRS).Continuously improve supplier quality business processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.Partner with Global Procurement to support supplier performance evaluations based on quality-related metrics.Communication & Presentation
Provide weekly updates on the status and progress of all supplier-related activities.Maintain strong, transparent communication with cross-functional teams such as Global Quality, Global Procurement, the Operational Central Team (OCT), and other relevant departments.Respond to issues promptly, adjusting communication cadence based on the urgency and priority of each matter.Keep stakeholders and team members regularly informed of project developments, including progress, challenges, and opportunities.Training and Development

Collaborate with global SQEs and cross-regional team members to support initiatives related to Photochemical materials.Serve as a key subject matter expert in the supplier digitalization program, contributing insights and guidance.Build deep expertise in material criticality for semiconductor manufacturing by acting as a primary liaison with suppliers.Experiences:
5–10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or in a high-volume manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.Foundational understanding of Photochemical materials and their applications in wafer manufacturing processes.Basic familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management system standards.Qualifications:
