Job Description
We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples through venipuncture and capillary collection procedures while ensuring minimum discomfort for customers. This role involves providing care to patients ranging from infants to geriatric age groups and maintaining specimen integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures for collection, handling, and processing.
ResponsibilitiesDraw blood and process samples.Collect and scan insurance cards, input and update patient demographics, and enter billing codes.Spin down specimens and manage send outs to labsPrint shipping labels and box specimens.Utilize software systems for accurate data management.Essential Skills5 years of phlebotomy experience.Proficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and blood draw techniques.Experience with outpatient clinic/IOP settings.Excellent customer service skills.Certified Phlebotomist with Phlebotomy certification is a plus Experience with data entry and laboratory procedures.Ability to work professionally and efficiently with all age groups.Work Environment
The phlebotomist will work onsite with two other phlebotomists, operating Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The facility provides urgent care and primary care services to a diverse population including pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, and OB patients. The work environment requires professionalism and a friendly demeanor without unnecessary interruptions. No weekend work is required.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
