Phlebotomist Resource

This job posting is for employment with Corewell Health. Effective January 1, 2026, following the execution of a new agreement between Corewell Health and Quest Diagnostics, this position will transition employment to Quest Diagnostics. While this role will be integral to Corewell Health laboratory operations, employment will be with Quest Diagnostics effective January 1, 2026, contingent upon successful completion of Quest Diagnostics’ pre-employment requirements.

Corewell Health Gerber Lab is a high volume, fast paced environment with a dedicated customer service team. This department is a fantastic place to learn and grow skills in the healthcare system at an entry level.  The focus is on quality inpatient and outpatient services with a commitment to excellent patient experiences. Scope of Work:

Inpatient and outpatient specimen collection. Specimen processing, including specimens brought to the laboratory by other departments. Use of electronic information system, including portable printers and positive patient identification devices. Answering telephones. Engaging with other departments in patient care. Sustain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredGraduate of a phlebotomy training program is preferred1 year of relevant experience dealing with the public, preferably in the medical or customer service field is preferredPhlebotomy technician certification from National Health career Association is preferred
