Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators located at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT.

You would be responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy, specimen processing and other lab assistance, as needed. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.

What You Will Do:

Contributes to overall quality of care for the patient through accurate, skilled phlebotomy draws, specimen processing, and excellent customer service.

Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with administrators, colleagues, patients, and healthcare providers.

Provide assistance as needed throughout the Lab.

Understanding in the operation/maintenance of Lab equipment, computer-based applications (email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office). 

Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork. Willing to assist where needed.

Work Hours/Shift:
• Per Diem, Day Shifts, rotating wknds (Saturday only). Two shifts per month, at least 1 weekend every 12 weeks and 1 holiday a year. Must be available for EPIC Training during weekdays

Requirements:

Education:   High school diploma.

Certification: Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting required.
