Phlebotomist (Part-time)
Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description We are seeking experienced Phlebotomists/Lab Assistants to join a large medical group. The ideal candidate will have six months to one year of experience working with patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. Preference will be given to those with hospital, acute, or inpatient experience. The role requires flexibility to float between locations and work split shifts, drawing 40-50 patients per shift. Strong customer service skills are essential to uphold the values of our organization. Proficiency in computer systems, particularly LIS and Cerner, is highly desired. Responsibilities + Perform blood draws on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric age groups. + Float between different locations and manage split shifts effectively. + Draw 40-50 patients per shift in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. + Ensure high-quality customer service and maintain a professional demeanor. + Utilize computer systems, including lab information systems and Cerner, proficiently. + Maintain excellent attendance and behavior records. + Travel between locations within a designated region, accommodating flexible shift schedules. Essential Skills + Minimum of six months to one year of phlebotomy experience, ideally in an acute or sub-acute setting. + Valid CPT CA license. + BLS certification. + Experience with neonatal and pediatric blood draws. + Computer proficiency, particularly with lab systems such as Cerner. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in outpatient settings like LabCorp or Quest. + Hospital experience is advantageous. + Ability to manage draw volumes in high-expectation settings. Work Environment Phlebotomists may work 20+ or 40+ hours per week, based on availability and capacity. Shifts begin at 7:00 AM, and the lab closes at 9:30 PM, with shift options from 7:00 AM–1:00 PM and 3:30 PM–close. The primary location is a Medical Office Building (MOB), covering sites in San Marcos, which are in close proximity to each other. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
