Job Title: Phlebotomist - Livingston

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. This role requires working in a high-volume internal medicine office, primarily with adult patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong bedside manner, experience with straight needles, and the ability to handle a dynamic schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws using straight needles 99% of the time.Manage a high-volume workload with over 100 patients per day.Process samples after blood draws, including centrifuge operations.Demonstrate excellent customer service and bedside manner in a high-profile account.Adapt to weekly changing shifts and handle potential day-of changes in case of emergencies.

Essential Skills

1-2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.Experience working in a doctor's office, particularly in an internal medicine setting.Strong phlebotomy skills and blood draw experience.Proficiency in using straight needles.Centrifuge experience for sample processing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification.Experience in laboratory settings.Familiarity with pediatric phlebotomy and medical procedures.Ability to work with butterfly needles.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with shifts changing weekly. The typical schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility is essential as shifts may change day-of if there is an emergency situation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livingston, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.00/hr.
