Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Junction City. This position involves greeting patients, conducting blood draws, labeling specimens, and maintaining meticulous records. The role requires a commitment to providing excellent patient care and ensuring the accuracy of all procedures.

ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and guide them through the lab procedures.Perform blood draws using straight and butterfly needles.Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Package specimens for transport and ensure they are stored at required temperatures.Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.Handle insurance, billing, and processing of samples.Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries.Update patient information and maintain data entry records.Essential SkillsPhlebotomy certification with at least 6 months of experience.Proficiency in drawing blood using various techniques.Strong customer service skills.Understanding of medical terminology and specimen processing.Ability to take feedback well and eagerness to learn.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Previous experience in a customer service setting.Positive, hardworking attitude with initiative.Reliability and a positive attendance record.Work Environment

This role is based in a dynamic and supportive team environment. The position initially spans 3 months with potential extensions. Flexibility to occasionally float to nearby locations is required. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Junction City, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.46/hr.
