Receives laboratory specimens and processes samples for Laboratory testing. Performs clerical and client service functions in the Laboratory as requested. **The value youll bring to the team:** + Ability to perform venipuncture and microtainer collection in sterile technique. + Ensure specimens are correctly labeled and orders are received. + Verify patient identify and correct laboratory tests for each patient. + Ability to properly prioritize routine specimen receipt in the laboratory on a first in first out basis. + Performs assigned pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, which may include general equipment maintenance, function checks and documentation; inventory control and supply stocking; + Stat and Alert specimens are prioritized before routine orders. **The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications:** + High School Grad or Equiv **Preferred qualifications:** + Technical/Vocational School + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Phlebotomy Technician (PBTASCP) + Phlebotomy Training Program This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
