Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description

Exhibit proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, including pediatric blood collections and difficult draws. Have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, effectively communicating their importance to other employees. Possess the ability and skills necessary to provide orientation and training for patient service technicians. All interactions with minors will be supervised by a supervisor or RN.

ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and difficult draws.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and communicate their importance to other employees.Provide orientation and training to patient service technicians.Supervise interactions with minors alongside a supervisor or RN.Essential SkillsProficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques.Experience as a Phlebotomist, Lab Assistant, and CPT I.Ability to process specimens and use Cerner lab systems.High school diploma and CPT 1 License.Computer savvy with experience in lab systems.Strong customer service skills.Availability for an on-call schedule, typically averaging 32 hours per week.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Abenity, Care Roadmap, and Udemy.Flexibility to cover additional hours at busy locations.Work Environment

Work in outpatient clinics located in Coachella Valley, covering areas such as Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Indio. Opportunities to pick up additional hours in busy locations at Iris MOB II, Murrieta, and Riverside service areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm Desert, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
