Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist with at least two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be reliable, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess a bubbly and welcoming personality along with strong communication skills.

ResponsibilitiesPerform phlebotomy, paps, and biopsies, as well as COVID swabs, with comprehensive training provided for tasks beyond phlebotomy.Conduct blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and handle decontamination procedures.Update patient information accurately and collect and store specimens according to established procedures.Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously to patients.Demonstrate techniques using straight needles.Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling and storage.Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Verify accuracy of test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions to maintain specimen integrity.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong skills in specimen collection, patient care, and venipuncture techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in phlebotomy and blood draw procedures.Ability to maintain patient care standards and ensure specimen integrity.Work Environment

The position involves working at a members-only location in Sunnyside, NY, with travel required to cover all four Hotel Trade sites: 265 Ashland Place, Brooklyn; 37-, Sunnyside, Queens; 133 Morningside, Harlem; and Midtown- 50th and 9th. The role offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:45 am to 5:45 pm, with no weekend work. The facilities are exclusive to members, not open to the general public, providing an opportunity for consistent employment with the potential to transition to a direct role after the contract.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
