Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the Phlebotomist collects and processes laboratory specimens from all areas of the hospital including, but not limited to the Emergency Department, Main Tower, West Tower, East Tower and Outpatient areas, including blood samples, skin scrapings, and POCT testing and non-blood specimens. Maintains laboratory supplies by ordering, receiving and stocking them. Answers the telephone and relays messages. Performs general laboratory duties including general cleaning, instrument maintenance, copying, faxing and other related duties.

Required qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or GED OrDocumentation of higher education. Coursework/Training and must have completed Medical Assistant with phlebotomy or Phlebotomy course.Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist CertificationComputer experience. Laboratory or related science experience.
Preferred qualifications:
6 months of Phlebotomist specific experience which can include time spent in the Phlebotomist training program.Why Join Providence?
