Job Description
We are seeking skilled phlebotomists who will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. The role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, proper entry into the company's computer system, preparation of samples for analytical testing, and distribution of specimens to the appropriate analytical area. The position also includes specified analytical testing tasks and adherence to the Code of Conduct.
ResponsibilitiesCollect and receive biological specimens into the department.Ensure proper entry of specimens into the company's computer system.Prepare samples for analytical testing.Distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical area.Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.Essential Skills2-3 years of prior phlebotomy experience.Proficiency in blood draw and specimen processing.Experience in laboratory and phlebotomy techniques.Patient care skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsOncology experience is a plus.GED or High School Diploma required.Work Environment
The phlebotomist will work inside a very busy cancer center located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves drawing blood from physicians' patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants. The organization offers plenty of room for growth, with a career ladder available after six months, allowing advancement to a Phleb Tech 2 position with a pay increase. The company promotes from within for leadership roles.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
