We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist to accurately obtain blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures, ensuring minimal discomfort for patients. The role involves providing care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, and maintaining specimen integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures for collection, handling, and processing.
ResponsibilitiesDraw blood and process samples.Collect and scan insurance cards.Input and update patient demographics, including contact information and address.Enter billing codes and spin down specimens.Send specimens to other labs and CPL lab as needed.Print shipping labels and box specimens.Utilize software systems for processing.Essential SkillsProficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and blood draws.Excellent customer service skills.5 years of phlebotomy experience.Certified Phlebotomist with phlebotomy certification.Experience with data entry.Ability to work with patients of all age groups.Additional Skills & QualificationsOutpatient clinic or IOP experience preferred.Experience in processing draws and samples.Professional demeanor.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment
This position is based in Winder, GA, and involves working alongside two other phlebotomists onsite. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The facility provides urgent care and primary care services to all populations, including pediatric, adult, geriatric, and OB patients. The environment is professional, and the ideal candidate will be friendly yet focused, ensuring smooth operations without unnecessary interruptions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
