Apply Now Phlebotomist – Women’s Care Clinic – Full-Time, Days Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 200, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p Women’s Care Clinic Highlights: Strong teamwork and collaboration Fast-paced, high volume inbound/outbound calls Compassion and empathy to our patients and the Team Join an innovative team working towards making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and reliable Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent (required) Graduate from accredited Phlebotomy training program (preferred) 1-2+ years Phlebotomy experience (strongly preferred) Certified Phlebotomy Technician Upon Hire (preferred) Demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field. Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Strong customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
What You Will Do Assembles equipment, such as tourniquet, needles, disposable containers for needles, blood collection devices, gauze, cotton, and alcohol on work tray, according to requirements for specified tests or procedures. Verifies and/or records identity of patient or donor. Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. May prick finger to draw blood. Sends specimens to reference laboratories for any testing not performed in house. Maintains proper documentation as described by the quality assurance program including accessioning logs, equipment records and checklists. Identifies problems which may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and takes appropriate action, including supervisor notification. Orders and maintains supply levels for all equipment and services provided by laboratories. Performs in house laboratory testing as directed by the practice. Participates in special project and/or completes other duties as assigned.
