Description:Mercy Medical Center, Lab

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a per diem Inpatient Phlebotomist to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. You would be responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy within our Life Labs located at Mercy Medical Center. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.

What you will do:

Receives assignments, obtains required supplies, completes work on time. Completes Stat requests within standard turnaround times. Responses promptly to beeper and/or overhead paging.

Verifies that the appropriate specimen has been obtained / received for the test requested. Maintains integrity of the specimen.

Work Hours/Shift:
•   Per Diem, Night Shifts, Flexibility to cover evening shifts, if needed.

           

Minimum Qualifications:

High school or GED.

Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.   

Technical training in Phlebotomy Program, 1 year of experience, preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.
