Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The role involves hazardous compounding (USP ), including testosterone formulations with a seed oil base, GLP1s, and cyclosporine. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized compounding environment, adhering to USP and guidelines, and accurately documenting all compounding activities.
ResponsibilitiesPerform hazardous compounding tasks as outlined in USP .Compound testosterone formulations with a seed oil base, GLP1s, and cyclosporine.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the compounding environment, including routine cleaning and disinfection of work areas and equipment.Accurately document all compounding activities, including batch records, cleaning logs, and quality control checks.Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs.Assist with inventory management, including receiving, labeling, and storing compounding materials and supplies.Essential SkillsCompliance with USP and .Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding.Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred.Registration in Tennessee if not certified.Work Environment
Our facility offers a fast-paced work environment with opportunities for leadership as we expand rapidly through 2025 and 2026. Shifts available include first shift from 9 AM to 5 PM (potentially 8:30 AM to 6 PM) and second shift from 11 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday. The facility spans 5,000 sq ft with a 4,000 sq ft expansion underway. Currently, we have 6 hoods in place with 8 more being added, and a total staff of 30, including 6 pharmacists.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
