Pharmacy Technician - Processing/Front-End

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the pharmacy operations through various tasks including answering phones, processing refills and new prescriptions, and assisting customers at the front desk. The position offers a rotating schedule between the processing area and the front desk, providing a diverse work experience. ResponsibilitiesAnswer phones and process refills and new prescriptions using pharmacy software.Assist walk-in customers at the front desk with all will-call transactions.Take and manage voicemails from the inbox.Triage calls to pharmacists in the processing room.Fax refill requests to prescribers and assist processing pharmacists with small projects.Sort hard copies, cut bubble wrap for shipping purposes, and shred PHI as needed.Perform physical tasks that include lifting and moving containers weighing up to 20 lbs.Essential SkillsPharmacy Technician Certification or Pharmacy Technician Certificate (CPhT).1+ year(s) of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in any pharmacy setting.Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or Certification required.Previous customer service experience in any setting.Ability to multitask effectively, such as talking on the phone while operating a computer.Excellent data entry and typing skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven history of reliability and positive attendance.Ability to work well in teams.Work Environment

The work environment is located on the second floor of the building, resembling a call-center with low cubicle walls. The schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating shifts each week, requiring flexibility to work opening, mid, and closing shifts. SHIFTS: Will rotate shifts each week - need to be able to work ALL 3 SHIFTS!

• OPENING: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (1 person scheduled here/week – infrequent)

• MID: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (most frequently scheduled to work here)

• CLOSING: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (1 person scheduled here/week – infrequent)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
