We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Access Services Representative to provide insurance benefit validation and obtain authorizations for home and ambulatory infusion therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all new referrals for Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services Home and Infusion Suite services. This work includes obtaining the order and other required documentation, conferencing with the referral source, the Pharmacist, Infusion Nurse Coordinator and other key stakeholders; and verifying insurance eligibility and benefits; cost of medication, obtaining pre-authorizations and re-authorizations and assisting patients with copay and financial assistance. This position is also responsible for monthly re-verification of insurance eligibility of active patients on service. The admission team member works closely with the Pharmacy and Nursing team regarding all therapy changes and additions keeping patients' profile updated and retrieving new authorizations. The access services team completes financial cost disclosure and other required documents for each ordered therapy and discuss patient's financial obligation before start of care.

Required Qualifications:
Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License OR Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician.2 years experience with insurance verification, medical claims processing, insurance member enrollment or customer service.2 years experience as a pharmacy technician in a specialty setting (e.g. Long Term Care, Infusion or Specialty Pharmacy), OR 3 years pharmacy technician experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting.2 years experience with computers in data entry.Upon hire: In compliance with the Providence Health and Services-OR Human Resources policy #302 Background Checks, a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using electronic medical records software.
