Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician performs technical (non-professional) duties involved in the operation of the outpatient drug distribution system. All work performed by the Outpatient Pharmacy Technician shall only be done under direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician position requires skill and training, but does not perform duties requiring the professional judgment of a pharmacist. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician must have the communication skills necessary to function in an environment which services the public. The Outpatient Pharmacy Technician maintains patient confidentiality at all times. 

Work Schedule
Full time; 80 hours biweekly including weekends. Hours of operation are 7:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.

Employee Pharmacy: Provides prescription and over the counter medication for outpatients and employees. 
Experience Required
At least 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician (or similar job experience preferred), and have exhibited a high degree of reliability, dependability, above average flexibility in job adaptability and competency in previous work performance. The Pharmacy Technician must pass a competency test (>75%) within their 6 month probationary period.
