ResponsibilitiesCoordinate deliveries and pickups via phone, ensuring timely communication with the Pharmacist for checking and general activities.Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patient and employee safety, operational and schedule needs, and inventory control.Communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel, maintaining proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and technical equipment.Perform basic office environment tasks and maintain a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.Recognize common drug names and select the proper drug, dosage form, strength, and quantity for review by the Pharmacist.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy technician or customer service pharmacy experience.2+ years of billing and claims/patient service experience, including specialty/prior authorization experience.Comfortable working on the phones with delivery coordination and claims/billing experience.Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic office tasks.Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing cabinet software, and technical equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required within 6 months of starting.Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required within 6 months after starting.Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.Work Environment
Work within a closed-door outpatient pharmacy alongside a team of over 20 technicians and 5 pharmacists. Enjoy a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with shifts from 8-4:30, 8:30-5, and 9-5:30. No weekends or holiday work required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
