Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description:
As a Remote Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial
role in managing coverage determination requests and ensuring efficient
communication between providers, members, and the pharmacy benefit management
(PBM) system. Your key duties will include:
+ Review, prioritize, and process coverage determination requests submitted by healthcare providers
+ Evaluate requests using established criteria and document decisions in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) system
+ Communicate coverage outcomes to physicians, providers, and members in a timely and professional manner
+ Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM system navigation
+ Refer specialty drug requests to designated vendors or clients for further processing
+ Contact providers to obtain additional clinical information as needed to support coverage decisions
+ Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all coverage requests and determinations
+ Contribute to a culture of care, engagement, and recognition with a focus on clear, measurable outcomes
Hard Skills:
+ Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license (required)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications
+ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication abilities
+ Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
+ Priorauthorization experience.
+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or NHA).
+ Familiarity with third-party claims processing.
Work Environment:
+ This is a fully remote position.
+ Must have a dedicated workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
+ Flexible scheduling, including availability for weeknights and weekends.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
