Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description
This role involves working as a Pharmacy Technician specializing in managing Medicare and Medicaid patients, primarily focusing on Medicare. The technician will handle the intake of prior authorizations, set them up in the system, and forward them to a review tech. Initial training will emphasize the intake process, with potential training on the review aspect later.
Responsibilities
+ Manage the intake of prior authorizations for Medicare patients.
+ Set up prior authorizations in the system accurately.
+ Forward prior authorizations to review technicians.
+ Possibly train on reviewing prior authorizations as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Data entry
+ Pharmacy technician certification
+ Experience in appeals and managed care
+ Claims handling
+ Proven pharmacy technician experience
+ Prior authorization management
+ Customer service skills
+ Proficiency in computer skills
+ Ability to work remotely and independently

Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, requiring work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions to comply with HIPAA regulations. A strong Wi-Fi connection is essential for remote work. Holidays are managed on a rotating basis with other team members. Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
