Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, working on assignments that require moderate complexity and judgment. The role involves resolving problems and making routine recommendations with minimal supervision.
ResponsibilitiesReview contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure seamless service.Conduct initial checks of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.Update concise progress notes to ensure swift assessment of referral status by other roles within the workflow.Enter new provider information, such as the National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system for reporting purposes.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsCurrent CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician certification required.2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting is required.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Competent in basic computer skills.Multi-task oriented.Ability to effectively work with people.Conscientious and detail-oriented.Flexible and adaptable.High School Diploma required.Additional Skills & QualificationsHealthcare experience preferred.NC Registered (NCBOP) is required.Experience in call center operations and data entry is advantageous.Work Environment
This position operates within a call center environment, working onsite Monday to Friday. The work hours are from 8 am to 8 pm EST, with closures on weekends and major holidays. Initially, the role will be onsite every day from 9 am to 6 pm during the reverification period. Once permanent, the schedule may transition to a hybrid model. The work involves phone-based communication, without direct patient contact, in an office setting. The role offers a supportive work culture within a rapidly growing specialty pharmacy.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
