Pharmacy Technician
Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicatedPharmacy Technicianto join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacy operations by processing and routing prescription orders, verifying patient information, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will also assist with inventory management, shipping logistics, and customer communications, all while adhering to state regulations and company protocols.


Key ResponsibilitiesReview and verify prescription orders and patient information.Enter prescription data into the system and prepare documentation for processing.Contact patients, members, or providers to confirm prescription details, payment information, and delivery preferences.Interpret prescriptions and retrieve relevant medical, lab, and reimbursement data (as permitted by state law).Pack and ship pharmacy orders, including medications, supplies, and educational materials.Manage inventory, including receiving, storing, and refrigerating products as needed.Generate and correct shipping labels, including for international shipments.Coordinate with courier and mail services; maintain awareness of shipping schedules and holidays.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shipping area, including trash removal and box assembly.
Required QualificationsActive North Carolina Pharmacy Technician LicenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB or NHA)Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and healthcare systemsProficiency in prescription processing and data entry
Preferred SkillsExperience with inventory and warehouse operationsFamiliarity with commercial courier and shipping systemsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
Work Environment

This role involves working with pharmacy-related technologies and equipment in a regulated environment. Compliance with facility dress code and safety standards is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
