Key Responsibilities:
Prescription Preparation and Fulfillment
Support licensed pharmacists in accurately preparing and dispensing medications.Measure, count, and package prescriptions in accordance with healthcare provider instructions.Ensure all medication containers are properly labeled with dosage, usage, and safety information.Clerical and Data Entry Duties
Input patient and prescription details into the pharmacy’s digital system with precision.Keep patient records up to date while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.Stock and Inventory Oversight
Collaborate with procurement teams to manage medication and supply inventory.Conduct regular stock checks, rotate inventory, and remove outdated or recalled items.Assist in the safe and compliant disposal of unusable medications.Customer Interaction and Support
Welcome customers and handle inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.Facilitate prescription drop-off and pick-up processes.Provide basic information about medication availability and direct patients to pharmacists for detailed guidance.Operational Quality and Maintenance
Help maintain pharmacy equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.Participate in routine checks to uphold quality standards, including monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.Contribute to keeping the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with internal protocols.Regulatory Compliance and Safety Practices
Follow all applicable laws and guidelines related to pharmacy operations and controlled substances.Adhere to safety procedures for handling medications and hazardous materials.Promote a safe working environment by observing infection control and sanitation practices.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an Ohio Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.Licensure: Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as either a Registered Technician or as a Certified TechnicianCertification: PTCB certification preferredExperience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related healthcare role is beneficial.Core competencies include:Knowledge and application of relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulationsPharmacy terminology and sig codesUnderstand the importance of active listening, appropriate conversation, and relay information among patients, families, and colleagues.Basic math skills for performing standard pharmacy calculations.Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and electronic health records (EHR).Physical Requirements (with or

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
