NTT DATA Services currently seeks a CA Pharmacy Technician-filling tech to join our team in **Redlands, CA. This is a 3+ month temp assignment with possibility to extend or work in to a full time opportunity.** Hours: Monday- Friday 12:00pm-9:00pm PST Pay: $20 per hour ***CA TECH LICENSE IS REQUIRED*** (National Certification is NOT ACCEPTED) Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, picks and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes as needed. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours). Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs unassisted (REQUIRED). during a shift. Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery. Work Environment: Employee regularly works near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment. Duties: Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws. Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices. Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices. Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed. Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed. Responsible for cleaning all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas. center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position. REQUIRED Experience: + 3+ months of work experience as a pharmacy technician. + 3+ months working with drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge and law. + 1+ years computer keyboarding experience + 1+ year data entry + 1+ year medical terminology Preferred skills: 3+ months work experience in a pick/pack/ship pharmacy environment. Able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders. Must be able to recognize limitations on decision-making scope and be able to escalate issues falling outside of that scope. Education: Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
