Pharmacy Technican Per Diem Floater

 The VSP Pharmacy Technician is an in-person, patient facing position that will cover technicians during Staff PTO. This is a Per Diem position. The Pharmacy Technician obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. This role is in-person, in a pharmacy, embedded in a primary care clinic. The Pharmacy Technician will be required to be on their feet, handle multiple tasks as needed to fulfill a medication and answer patients' questions, in person and over the phone

The VSP/Per Diem Pharmacy Technician, supervised by a Pharmacist, performs the following duties.

Retrieves, counts, and measures drugsAssists Pharmacists in price-checking and restocking drugsAccesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computerRefers physicians' calls and any medical questions to PharmacistMay operate a cash registerFollow standard policies and practicesWill work as needed at the following locations: Live Oak/San Antonio area, New Braunfels area

Required Qualifications

Must have an active Texas Pharmacy Technician license

At least 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experienceThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesMust have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hireStand for extended periodsFrequently required to walkFrequently reach with hands and armsFrequently bendFrequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.Strong written and oral communication skillsMust be willing to travel anywhere in the greater San Antonio/New Braunfels region as neededMust have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GEDBilingual (Spanish/English)

**This position is for a per diem/as needed basis. Hours may be variable.**

Work hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
