Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours Per Week

Shift : 6:30am - 3pm Monday - Friday, every 3rd weekend

The role youll contribute:

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician PDO/sick coverage and technician assignments. Other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. If applicable for the facility, information systems must be accessed for pharmacy charge data, AHS CDM databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts and data files.

Supervises pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technician interns, and pharmacy interns

Works as an active member of pharmacy clinical programs and multidisciplinary team

Collaborates with other pharmacy staff

Collaborates with care providers and Pharmacist to optimize care and improve services

Provides support to direct patient care programs

Places practice priority on the delivery of patientcentered care

Identifies highrisk patients and implements interventions to improve quality and safety

Proficiently maintains patient information and efficiently evaluates patients health care needs

Provides coverage of decentralized pharmacy practice areas

Provides medication histories in decentralized areas as assigned and supports other areas as needed

Maintains expertise and continuityof practice in all care areas of:

Cardiology Pharmacy Division

Critical Care Pharmacy Division

Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Division

Internal Medicine Pharmacy Division

Neurology Pharmacy Division

Oncology Pharmacy Division

Surgery Pharmacy Division

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Required:

Three years of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience

Registered Pharmacy Technician in their respective state

Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)

If applicable to facility Sterile Compounding Certification

High School Grad or Equivalent

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare

1 years of supervisory/leadership experience
