The role youll contribute:
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor may have direct reports as well as has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician PDO/sick coverage and technician assignments. Other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. If applicable for the facility, information that may be accessed include, but not limited to; pharmacy charge data, CDM databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts, data files, and personnel and compensation data.

Pharmacy Operations Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs Maintains knowledge of operational functions in and actively provides coverage as needed: Central Pharmacy, IV Room, Delivery.
Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems: Accurately reviews electronic reports. Maintains expertise in electronic report processes.
Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient: specific medication doses Manages medication delivery activities. Prepares accurate medication products for delivery
Supervises technician and intern practice: Maintains competency to perform technician duties and roles as needed. Prioritizes workload, organizes workflow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities
Pharmacy Practice Supports patient, centered care services. Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
High School Grad or Equiv and 3 years experience
Three years of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
Certified Pharmacy Tech
Registered Pharmacy Technician
Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if applicable to state
Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
One year of supervisory/leadership experience
