Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Support Messenger - Cancer Center Infusion Center - Mineola.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing courier/ messenger service safely from one area to another within the institutional campus at the Hospital and off-sites. Materials transported and distributed may include (lab specimens, medication, pharmaceuticals packages, Hospital supplies, mail and related material). Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled STAT courier services.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs daily deliveries and pickup of materials from one area to another site location. Adheres to scheduled delivery, collection and requisitions in a timely manner.Performs other duties as assignedMay file required paperwork related to work, and restocks supplies as necessary.Follows OSHA regs for PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment) and all safety procedures related to hazardous or potentially contaminated reagentsPrioritizes work and supports co-workers in the accomplishment of day to day activities and tasks in an efficient manner.Verifies and logs packages prior to delivery.Maintains communication with the department to enable prompt response to special, unplanned requests for urgent messenger services from departments.Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Ability to read, write and speak English. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Must be able lift and maneuver minimum of 20 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years Relevant experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $39,878.31 - $53,298.66 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
