We are looking for a Pharmacist with operational, work-flow and automation experience to lead a great team at Missouri Baptist. Days, every 9th weekend rotation BILD Leadership program eligible Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. This recognition has been accomplished by less than nine percent of hospitals nationwide. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital #2 in the St. Louis metro area. The Inpatient Pharmacy at Missouri Baptist Medical Center consists of a Central Pharmacy including a Class 10,000 Clean Room for sterile product preparation and satellite pharmacies in the Operating Room, the Cancer/Infusion Center, and satellites or decentralized pharmacists on several inpatient floors. The hospital uses Pyxis Connect digital order imaging, medication bar coding, an electronic medication administration record, and Alaris Guardrails ''smart'' IV pumps. The department utilizes Pyxis medstations for distribution of 90% of medication. The Pharmacy program at MoBap also administers an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency program. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Ensures the prompt and accurate preparation and dispensing of medications according to prescription orders from practitioners authorized by law to prescribe. Instructs, coordinates and monitors the work activities of staff to meet patient and customer needs in accordance with the rules and regulations for pharmacy operations. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Assists with pharmacy operations and integration with other departments. Provides pharmaceutical care appropriate to the needs and age of the patients served. Interprets patient data to identify, prevent, and resolve drug therapy problems and ensures safe and effective drug therapy. Coordinates and reviews the work of Pharmacists, Technicians and Students. Assists in development and enforcement of pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with all hospital policies and governmental regulations May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree - Pharmacy Experience
