What Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

The Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing team is responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level by executing and expediting purchase orders. Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing ensures the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. Assists in negotiating product and supply chain costs. Utilize terms and conditions of supplier contracts, work with internal customers to improve processes, and evaluate supplier performance that ultimately improves the supply chain.

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at Whidbey Hospital and we are currently looking for a Pharmacy Purchaser to work 40 hours a week. Schedule would be Monday-Friday typically 8:30AM-5PM.

Responsibilities

Procurement buying of medication for inpatient and outpatient pharmacy departmentsIn charge of ordering and inventory oversightPerform monthly auditsSupply drugs to 10 different clinicsTaking lead on annual inventoryHandles interdepartmental billingTeam coordinator for 340b compliance regarding drug purchasingHandles account management for outside source drug managingLead on receiving patient assistance program drugsProcurement of non-drug suppliesParticipates in committee meetings as necessary



Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent preferredPharmacy Assistant license required, or ability to obtain prior to employmentPrior pharmacy buying/purchasing/ordering experience preferredFamiliarity with 340b programming preferredPrior experience in an inpatient environment preferredProficient with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) preferredAbility to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tabletsExcellent customer service skills requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills requiredMay require vendor credentialing

Anticipated hourly range: $21.80 per hour - $31.20 per hour
