Job Description
The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time position located in Westminster, CO. The role involves overseeing clinical and administrative pharmacy operations within a rehabilitation hospital setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional on-call responsibilities after hours, weekends, and holidays.
ResponsibilitiesOversee all clinical and administrative pharmacy operations.Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with medication handling regulations.Maintain inventory control and manage budget effectively.Provide pharmaceutical care and serve as a staff pharmacist.Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management of pharmacy staff.Participate in hospital committees and strategic planning.Ensure proficiency in the Wellsky order entry system and the Pyxis automation system, assisting pharmacy technicians as needed.Essential SkillsPharmacy management skills.Retail pharmacy experience.PharmD or BSPharmLong-term care pharmacy knowledge.Strong leadership and communication skills.Administrative skills including schedule building and data entry.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with Pyxis software.Strong data entry skills.Excellent communication abilities.Work Environment
The work environment consists of a small, fast-paced team within a 38-bed rehabilitation hospital. The average daily census is 34, offering a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. The role provides leadership opportunities with room for growth.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $88.00/hr.
