**Job Overview**
**Overview:**
The Fairview University Clinic Pharmacy is a unique blend of traditional retail pharmacy with specialty pharmacy components. We are in the Clinics and Surgery Center, which, is home to over 60 specialties clinics. We help provide pharmacy services to our Same Day Surgery Center, Advanced Treatment Center, Masonic Cancer Clinic, administer vaccinations, take blood pressure readings, and more.
**Responsibilities:**
This position is for the 2025 pharmacy class. New hires begin as pharmacy technicians until a pharmacy intern license is obtained after completion of PD1 academic year. First, we train our new hires in traditional retail processes (data entry, billing, dispensing, and clerk roles). After pharmacy intern license is obtained, pharmacy interns roles expanded to include counseling, administration of vaccines, blood pressure readings, prescription transfers, and assisting with various projects involving our specialty services lines. Our goal is to expose interns to the sophisticated disease states and complicated patient population we take care of each day and also help provide a insight and understanding of pharmacy operations.
**Shifts Requirements:**
During the school year, interns are required to work at least 3 shifts per the 2-week pay period (one shift must be an 4 hour Saturday shift (8 am to noon) and two weekday shifts (generally a 4 hour shift after class/lab are done). Interns are encouraged to work 32 to 40 hours per week during the summer/winter break (except for IPPEs). Additional hours may be available depending on the intern’s availability
