Pharmacy Intern

SUMMARY

As a student in an accredited Pharmacy Program, performs a variety of duties in support of pharmacy operations, under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Must possess appropriate Pharmacy Intern registration as required by Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

· High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.

· Must currently attend a College of Pharmacy, and havesuccessfully completed at least two years of education in an approved internship program.

· Must possess appropriate Pharmacy Intern registration, as required by Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration.

EXPERIENCE

· One to two years experience in a service industry is preferred

· Prior pharmacy experience and cash handling experience desirable

SKILLS

· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required

· Good communication and interpersonal skills also required.

· Basic computer skills are desirable

All Pharmacy Department applicants, (excluding Clinical Pharmacy) who are offered a job with Atrius Health will be tested for drugs as part of the post job offer employment screening process. Any applicant who tests positive for illegal drug use will not be hired. While Atrius Health cannot force a candidate to take a drug test, refusing to take the test may result in a rescinded offer of employment
