This role supports pharmacy operations by enhancing informatics workflows, ensuring accurate medication charge capture, and driving improvements in billing and reimbursement processes. *Key Responsibilities:* * Collaborate with pharmacy, revenue cycle, IT, and clinical teams to optimize charge workflows and ensure accurate billing. * Support the configuration, testing, and maintenance of pharmacy-related systems within the EHR and billing platforms. * Monitor and troubleshoot issues impacting pharmacy revenue, including coding, charge automation, and payer compliance. * Provide training and support to pharmacy staff on revenue cycle processes. * Review and approve medication charges in designated work queues such as CMS status indicator, billable unit quantities, and claim edits. *Required* Education:**BS or BA degree in an information technology or related field or equivalent years of information systems knowledge related to the field. Experience:**Three (3) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician or information systems analyst. Licensure, Certification, Registration:**Nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician by an accepted certification board. *Preferred* Experience: Three (3) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital pharmacy environment. Additional experience in pharmacy IT systems Prior experience overseeing information technology systems. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Nationally recognized certification in information technology field/platform for technology currently utilized at Hartford HealthCare.
