Job Description

The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for pharmacy data entry and handling phone calls to members and providers. This role involves providing members with decisions on prior authorizations, which may be approved, denied, or require more information. The position primarily involves data entry tasks using two screens in a highly production-driven environment.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately and efficiently perform pharmacy-related data entry tasks.Respond to inbound calls from members and providers, delivering timely decisions on prior authorization requests.Consistently meet productivity benchmarks and adhere to scheduling expectations.Document and communicate authorization decisions clearly using strong written communication skills.Essential SkillsExperience in pharmacy or a related healthcare field.High proficiency in data entry with exceptional attention to detail.Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Excellent written communication abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsProven experience in customer service roles.Administrative support experience in a professional setting.Familiarity with order entry systems and basic printer troubleshooting.Exposure to healthcare or managed care environments.Work Environment

his is a fully remote position with training conducted on an alternative schedule. During the training period, the work hours are Monday through Friday, either8:30 AM to 5:00 PMor9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Upon completion of training, the regular schedule shifts to Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Mondays off.

The role is part of a Fortune 50 company and includes health, dental, and vision benefits throughout the contract period. While there is potential for the position to transition to a permanent role, this is not guaranteed.

This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
