Pharmacist In Charge
We are hiring a Pharmacist in Charge to support a large, growing pharmacy!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in an onsite position. You will work Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM CST and will occasionally work on Saturdays, up to 8-10 times a year, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the benefit of receiving a weekday off. In this role, you will be primarily counseling patients over the phone about their medication and verifying prescriptions to ensure accuracy. This is a contract-to-hire position, with an opportunity to grow within the organization.

ResponsibilitiesOversee pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow.Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy for each patient, including drug utilization, counseling, compliance, drug interaction screening, side effect profiling, and drug administration support.Document pharmacotherapy review results in patient charts to keep the nursing team informed.Counsel patients on new drug therapies according to clinical management models.Complete REMS training and adhere to program SOPs.Coordinate patient care with referring clinicians, addressing social, psychological, and physical needs.Serve as a liaison between patients, caregivers, home health agency nurses, hospice nurses, and prescribing physicians.Provide subcutaneous teaching support for patients and caregivers.Build and foster relationships with patients and clinicians.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience counseling patients and verifying prescriptions.Previous experience in counseling.Experience in retail or independent pharmacy settings is beneficial.Proficiency in pharmacy operations and healthcare management.Additional Skills & QualificationsPharmD degree.Experience in hospital pharmacy is acceptable.Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.Multi-state licenses preferred.Interested? The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
