Pharmacist (100% WFH)

Job Description

Your main role will be utilizing your clinical skills to complete utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions. You will work independently among a team of your peers and other pharmacy professionals. Quality and performance are measured by monthly quality and productivity goals. These roles are within the Commercial group. All new pharmacists are considered potential long-term employees with the hope of transitioning to permanent positions in the future, although timelines for conversion cannot be guaranteed.

ResponsibilitiesComplete utilization management reviews such as prior authorizations and coverage exceptions.Maintain quality and performance metrics based on monthly goals.Work independently within a team of pharmacy professionals.Participate in potential cross-training opportunities for specialized cases and other departments.Essential SkillsTwo years of work experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Drive to deliver results with a motivated, self-starting attitude.Ability to make clinical decisions independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management or Case/Care Management.Proficient with learning new computer systems and basic IT troubleshooting.Word and Excel proficiency.Ability to type 35+ WPM.Flexibility and resourcefulness to adapt to change.Work Environment

These positions are fully remote, with the possibility to work from any state except California, Hawaii, or Virginia. Core business hours are 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. After training, newer contractors typically start between 9-10 AM CST. Shifts are determined by a team bid based on seniority, and schedules are subject to change. Candidates should expect a full-time schedule with potential overtime during peak seasons, typically from November through May. Weekend shifts rotate every other weekend during peak season and every sixth weekend otherwise. The team also shares holiday shifts, with holidays in 2025 determined by a team bid. Training occurs during the first 10-12 weeks, with no time off allowed during this period. Training includes a mix of instructor-led sessions, videos, worksheets, and practice cases. Time off after training must be discussed during interviews for supervisor consideration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
