Job Description

In this role, you will utilize your clinical skills to conduct utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions. You will work independently within a team of pharmacy professionals to achieve monthly quality and productivity goals. The position is considered for potential long-term employment, with contracts evaluated every six months for extension.

ResponsibilitiesConduct utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions.Work independently among a team of pharmacy professionals.Meet monthly quality and productivity goals.Essential SkillsTwo years of experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy where the position is located.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Drive to deliver results orientation.Motivated self-starter who does not need constant direction or feedback.Ability to make clinical decisions independently.Flexibility to change and resourcefulness.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) or Case/Care Management experience preferred.Retail experience highly preferred over hospital experience.Proficient with learning new computer systems and basic IT troubleshooting.Proficiency in Word and Excel.Ability to type 35+ WPM.Work Environment

This is a fully remote work-from-home position, available in any state except California, Hawaii, or Virginia. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, with newer employees typically starting between 9-9:30 AM CST. Candidates should plan for a full-time schedule plus overtime during peak seasons, typically December through April. Training is conducted Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST, over 10-12 weeks, and consists of instructor-led sessions, videos, worksheets, and practice cases.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
