Long-Term Care Pharmacist Long-Term Care Pharmacist | Offers Benefits | Long-Term Opportunity Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing prescriptions, compounding medications, and advising healthcare professionals. This role offers the opportunity to advance into a Pharmacist-in-Charge position, with potential for higher pay and day/evening shifts. Responsibilities + Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients. + Compound sterile and non-sterile medications by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to standard formulas and processes. + Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders. + Ensure the accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders. + Dispense medications and counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. + Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics such as diet, exercise, and stress management. + Provide information on products like durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies. Qualifications + Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or school of pharmacy. + Active Pharmacy License in the State of Minnesota. + Willingness to obtain licensure for multiple states as requested by management. + 2 years experience in a retail environment. Work Environment M-F rotating shift where they will work a week of each of the below shifts on rotation. Shifts: 6a – 2:30p 9a - 5:30p 10:30 – 7p 1:30p – 10p They also end up working 2 out of 7 weekends. 1 weekend Sa 10am-6:30pm and Su 9am-5:30pm and 1 weekend Sa and Su 9am-9pm. Training will be rotating through the different shifts during their 4 weeks of training. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr.
