Seeking Remote Pharmacists for a Pharmacy Benefits Management Company!!

Job Description

This role involves utilizing clinical skills to conduct utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations, coverage exceptions, and quantity limit exceptions. As a pharmacist, you will work independently within a team of pharmacy professionals to complete these reviews. Your performance will be assessed based on monthly quality and productivity goals. While new pharmacists are considered potential long-term employees, contracts are evaluated every six months for extension.

ResponsibilitiesConduct utilization management reviews independently among a team of pharmacy professionals.Meet monthly quality and productivity goals.Participate in specialized training opportunities for reviewing complex cases, such as oncology and hepatitis C.Cross-train for other departments, such as Medication Therapy Management (MTM) or Call Center Counseling (CCC), if available.Essential SkillsDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the position is located.Two years of experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.Proficiency with learning new computer systems and basic IT troubleshooting.Ability to type 35+ words per minute.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) or Case/Care Management is highly preferred.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Drive to deliver results and self-motivation.Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to change.Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, available to candidates residing in any state except California, Hawaii, or Virginia. Candidates can be licensed in any U.S. state, but must not live in Virginia. The typical shift starts between 9-10am CST, with schedules subject to change based on business needs. Full-time schedules plus overtime during peak seasons are expected. Peak season is typically from November through May, with weekend shifts rotating every other weekend during this time. Training occurs Monday to Friday, 8-4:30pm CST for approximately 10-12 weeks, and is a mix of instructor-led sessions, videos, worksheets, and practice cases. Time off is minimal during training, with exceptions for emergencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
