Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team, responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, advising healthcare professionals and patients, and managing pharmacy operations.

ResponsibilitiesReview prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and processing prescription orders.Ensure accurate intake of prescription orders and efficient fulfillment of orders.Dispense medications and provide support and counsel to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff about general health topics, including diet, exercise, and stress management.Provide information on products such as durable medical equipment or home healthcare supplies.Essential SkillsPharmacy License in the State of Minnesota.Degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.2 years of experience in a retail environment.Strong interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs.Additional Skills & QualificationsLong-term care pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist preferred.Willingness to obtain licensure for multiple states per request.Prior authorization experience.Compounding skills.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr.
