You'll serve variable shifts, work every third weekend, and rotate roughly 3 out of 7 holidays—helping us keep care seamless 365 days a year. In this role, there is the opportunity to - + Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions to prepare, calculate, and dispense appropriate medications for inpatient and outpatient treatment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. + Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and promptly to ensure patient safety. + Sustain the formulary by minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchange protocols, and promoting rational drug therapy selection. + Review and maintain patient medication records to identify allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications. + Organize daily operational duties and assist in supervising pharmacy technicians, aides, student interns, and other personnel involved in pharmaceutical care. + Adhere to all regulatory requirements, professional standards, and hospital quality management policies in providing pharmaceutical care. + Communicate with physicians and nurses to clarify unclear, illegible, or incomplete orders promptly. + Provide drug information and educational programs to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students. + Utilize computer systems and technologies to support the provision of pharmaceutical care. + Prepare and dispense intravenous admixture solutions using aseptic technique in a sterile product preparation area.
