About The Job:
The staff pharmacist is responsible for the accurate profiling and dispensing of all pharmaceutical products to patients and other customers. He/she provides expertise on drug therapy initiation and monitoring to all customer groups served by MercyOne Medical Center North Iowa, working collaboratively with other health care professionals to devise the most appropriate drug treatment for patients. The role of the staff pharmacist sometimes extends outside the hospital, sharing their knowledge with other hospitals, clinics, and care settings.
Hours:
Evenings (7 on/7 off) or weekend Baylor
What we are looking for:
Education [formal]:
1. Pharm.D. required (or equivalent experience)
2. Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or reciprocity, is required (prior to start date)
B. Experience
1. Demonstrated competence in previous practical experience is preferred.
2. Residency training and/or certification in area related to practice site is preferred.
C. Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes
1. Supervisory and planning abilities.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills
Complete the following requirements:
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
